Waiver and Discounts

The Microbiology Archives: An International Journal is committed to supporting a diverse range of researchers by offering waiver and discount options on article processing charges (APCs) for authors who may face financial constraints. Recognizing that APCs can pose a challenge, particularly for researchers from lowand middle-income countries or institutions with limited funding, the journal has established a waiver and discount policy to make publishing more accessible.

Eligible authors can apply for either a partial or full waiver depending on their financial needs. The journal particularly prioritizes authors from countries classified by the World Bank as low-income and lower-middle-income economies. Additionally, the waiver program considers individual circumstances, such as lack of funding support, enabling researchers from various academic backgrounds to participate in open-access publishing without financial burden. For authors who do not meet the full waiver criteria but may still require financial assistance, discounted APCs are available to ensure equitable access to publication resources.

By offering this support, Microbiology Archives aims to encourage global collaboration and inclusivity in microbiology research. The waiver and discount policy reflects the journal’s commitment to promoting scientific contributions from underrepresented regions and diverse backgrounds, ensuring that valuable research is not limited by financial barriers and that the journal can disseminate high-quality, impactful studies from researchers worldwide.

Full Waivers

Authors from low-income countries may be eligible for a full waiver of APCs. This ensures that financial limitations do not prevent the publication of high-quality research. Eligible countries are defined according to the World Bank’s classification of low-income economies.

Discounts

We offer discounted APC rates for authors from middle-income countries or those facing financial constraints. Discounts are also available for:
Early-career researchers.
Authors submitting high-impact or ground-breaking research.
Authors affiliated with institutions that have established agreements with Microbiology Archives, an International Journal.

How to Apply

Authors who wish to apply for a waiver or discount should indicate their request at the time of submission and provide relevant justification or documentation (e.g., proof of affiliation with a low-income country). All requests are handled on a case-by-case basis, and the editorial team will inform the authors of the outcome before the review process begins.

By offering waivers and discounts, Microbiology Archives, an International Journal strives to ensure that financial barriers do not impede the global dissemination of important environmental research.
